"Today and tomorrow, I've got a whole list of things I want to do, one of which is starting a new journal, with a bit of a different format, that will be more…more…Idon'tknowwhatwordI'mlookingfor…um, better for my new schedule." - thatkgirl, 03.29.03
"So, I'm leaving this journal, thatkgirl, behind. I'm going to come back with a new journal, that will hopefully be what I want it to be. And I'll just be Kathy. I don't know when that will be. Maybe when I've found the other things on my map, maybe when I've decided just what I want that new journal to be, maybe two weeks from now. I would like to say by the end of August, at the absolute latest, but who knows? All I can promise is that when I'm ready, when that new journal is ready, I'll announce it, and loudly, here." - thatkgirl, 07.14.2003
"I should clarify: I am no longer writing in this journal (after this entry, anyway). I'm not going away forever. I'm not going anywhere. I'm not joining the Livejournal Protection Program and keeping my new username top secret for fear that one of you will hunt me down. I'm not cancelling my AOL account. I'm not turning off my Instant Messages. I'm not going to stop reading your journals, or commenting on them. I'm just not writing in this journal anymore (after this entry). I will have a new journal. I will let anyone who wants to know where it is know where it is. If you e-mail me, I'll reply. I'm not disappearing." - thatkgirl, 07.16.2003
"I'm sure you'll hear lots of more stories about him if you follow me to my new journal, which will be here soon, I promise." - thatkgirl, 8.15.2003
"I've got to get cracking on this new journal. Really and truly, because so much is happening and I can't wait to tell you guys all about it." - thatkgirl, 8.25.2003
"At any rate, I think it's almost time for the new journal. I think I'm almost ready to start sharing again. Details to follow." - thatkgirl, 09.22.2003
"I cannot wait to get my new journal going. It's a work in progress on my list of projects to be completed by the end of the year. So who knows." - thatkgirl, 11.08.2003
"I swear, in the new year, there will be a new journal, with some shiny, happy entries, because really. More days than not, I'm totally loving life these days. But everyone reaches a breaking point and I've reached mine this week and there's no one to hold me and let me cry, so voila, I find myself back in the ever-loving arms of this journal. [kisses journal]" - thatkgirl, 12.24.2003
"My point in all this: I guess I will not be starting my new journal this weekend after all, because some fabulous, anonymous person bought me two paid months time on this one. What a lovely and unexpected gift, especially since I haven't been updating much. Thank you, whoever you are. I wish I knew who you were, because clearly you are wonderful!" - thatkgirl, 01.10.2004
"I am going to start my new journal in March. Perhaps even this weekend." - thatkgirl, 02.26.04
"thatkgirl is on vacation until 11/28/2004. And she probably won't even update when she returns. But there will be an all new journal and website coming soon. Watch this space for further details." - thatkgirl, 11.21.04
"I'm starting a new journal and I really don't want it to have to be friends-only." - thatkgirl, 01.03.2005
"For the longest time, I've been saying that I wanted to start a new journal/website thingymajigger. I've actually made some progress to that end, but. I’m having issues with coming up with a concept for exactly what I want. I want a short of catchall for everything. - thatkgirl, 01.29.2005
"I have to clarify. Nothing's wrong. I am not going into the Witness Protection Program because I wound up on Paris Hilton's hit list, or anything. I'm just finally starting the new journal I've been threatening to start for 98786876 years." - thatkgirl, 11.18.2005
(Because, you know, I don't keep this journal anymore. The new journal link will be posted on January 1st.) -thatkgirl, 12.17.2005

Is there any way you can auto save in Paint Shop Pro 6? I know, Paint Shop Pro 6. How ghetto indeed. It's been a long time since I've used anything below 8, but sadly, it's what I'm stuck with until I can get some birthday cash and can afford the upgrade to 9.
And it's a pain in assorted lower body parts to have to go through the manual saving process every two minutes for fear that I'll lose it all.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

I was going to private this and just have it here for my own usage, but I thought some of you might like some of these quotes. There are a lot of anonymouses, unknowns and I have no ideas. I've just been copying and pasting them from wherever into mail forms and saving them in Mail Waiting To Be Sent, but with my computer not quite acting right, it's high time to clean that out.

Everybody needs one true friend. Someone to scheme with and dream with, a first person to tell the news to, whether it's good or bad, someone to support and be supported by, someone who will always listen to the complaint, no matter how many times it has already been complained, someone who will laugh with you when no one else will and someone who won't laugh at you when everyone else does, someone who always takes your side and has your back, someone who will be close to you for the rest of your lives, even though life may put them far away, someone with whom you can be 100% yourself and someone you know will always give you another chance, no matter what idiotic thing you may have done, someone who may not always agree with what you have to say but will always try to understand. Lucy had Ethel, Blossom had Six, Penny Proud has Dijonay, and I, my friend, have you. And you have me. Always remember that no matter what. It has been so very long since we've been at the same place at the same time, but even if we never are again, you are just as much family to me as my mom and dad and sister. And, just like the three of them, I love you unconditionally and there's nothing you could do that I couldn't forgive. We may get mad at each other, but let me tell you: we could go ten years without speaking and I would still consider you my best friend. I can not (and don't want to even try to) imagine my life without you in it. I don't tell you enough, but I think you are wonderful. Once we can break you of that pesky attraction to Ickyhead Timberlake, you will be darn near perfect! Happy birthday, Reesh. I luff you!

"Change Your Mind"
Hey, Hey Did you ever think There might be another way To just feel better, Just feel better about today
Oh no- If you never want to have To turn and go away You might feel better, Might feel better if you stay
Yeah yeah I bet you haven't heard A word I've said Yeah yeah If you've had enough Of all your tryin' Just give up The state of mind you're in…
If you want to be somebody else, If you're tired of fighting battles with yourself If you want to be somebody else Change your mind...
Hey hey- Have you ever danced in the rain Or thanked the sun Just for shining- just for shining Or the sea? Oh no- take it all in The world's a show And yeah, you look much better, Look much better when you glow
Hey hey- what ya say We both go and seize the day 'cause what's your hurry what's your hurry anyway

"US Lifespan Hits New High"
So, I'm intrigued by this teaser on AOL's Welcome Screen, so I click the link to go read the article.
And learn that the life expectancy, these days, is 74 for men and 80 for women.
To me, that doesn't seem very old. I mean, I thought it was gonna say suddenly all these ladies and gents were making it to 100 or something.
I mean. There are lots of folks that live well into their nineties, yes?
Anyway. So those ages don't jive* with me and seem like not very newsworthy.
And you know what else doesn't jive**? That Swimfan is only eighty six minutes. What kind of movie is only eighty six minutes? I mean, Stuart Little 2 is almost that long and it's for the little people with short attention spans, mostly!
*And why did I use the word jive?
**Twice?
